Raghav Sachar (born 24 July 1981, in India) is an Indian singer, composer and film scorer. On a side note, although the flute piece is nice in the context of the song but honestly there is nothing ‘musically special’ about it. In 2009, he formed his own record label called “Raghav Sachar Music”. Raghav Sachar commands the flute with tremendous precision and goes further by playing a small piece of music in the last interlude. Touring for shows across the world and collaborating with other artistes he has so far played along with many prominent personalities nationally and internationally in the field of music like Kunal Ganjawala, Kailash Kher, Shreya Ghoshal, Salim Suleman, Vishal Shakhar, Sivamani, Louis Banks, Niladri Kumar, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shankar Mahadevan, Taufiq Qurashi. With the main instrument, the Saxophone and minor instrument being flute, he specialized in music composition & performance.Īfter finishing his education at Australia, he shifted to Bombay and released his debut album titled "For the First Time" on HMV records to critical acclaim. He studied Music & Composition at Monash University in Australia and did his majors in Jazz & toured South-East Asia with Monash. His passion for music also led him into the Delhi Music Theatre for many musicals such as “Grease”, “Oliver Twist” etc. Guitar & Keyboard playing in school, got him into a rock band - “Canzona” wherehe toured all over India and played at key places like the IIT institutions, BITS Pilani etc. He started playing the drums at nine, and won Best Drummer award in the All-India Junior segment.Īt the age of 15, he was chosen by the government of India as their representative in Russia for a cultural exchange program. At seven, he learnt the recorder and got distinctions in grades 5 & 6 from the Trinity College of London. He started playing my first musical instrument at the age of 4.
